About Us
It was spring 2017 in the bustling heart of the city, amidst the flickering lights of AMC Block 37. Kristian and Connor found themselves kindred spirits in the corridors of their workplace. Underneath the neon glow of the marquee, amidst the scent of buttered popcorn and the hushed murmurs of moviegoers, what began as a professional camaraderie soon blossomed into a friendship where their bond grew like a hidden romance unfolding scene by scene.
Then, one balmy evening in August of 2018, in the quaint town of Algonquin, IL, nestled in the comforting embrace of Connor's childhood home. Surrounded by memories of Connor's upbringing and the warmth of his family's welcome. It was there, in that serene setting, that Connor asked Kristian to be his girlfriend, an occasion that marked the beginning of their journey together. From that moment on, their days became intertwined like the plotlines of their favorite films—each moment a chapter etched with tenderness and shared dreams.
As the years unfolded, Kristian and Connor faced challenges that tested the strength of their bond. In June of 2021, they took another leap together, moving into their first home nestled in the vibrant neighborhood of Hyde Park Chicago.
During an enchanting October afternoon in 2023, as the colors of autumn painted Hyde Park in hues of gold and amber, Connor led Kristian to a secluded garden bathed in the soft glow of the setting sun. Surrounded by the fragrant blooms and the whispers of nature, he knelt before her holding a ring that sparkled with the promise of forever. With tears of joy glistening in his eyes and Kristian's heart racing with overwhelming love, he asked her to be his wife.
In that magical moment, Kristian said yes, her voice trembling with happiness. The Garden of the Phoenix in Hyde Park Chicago became a witness to their love story—a testament to the joy found in shared dreams, unwavering support, and the boundless possibilities of a future filled with love.
And as they look ahead, hand in hand, Kristian and Connor know that their love story is a testament to the power of dreams shared, passions pursued, and a love that grows stronger with each passing day—a love destined to shine brightly through the scenes of their lives forevermore.

Felicity, affectionately known as "BABY GIRL". It's her world and we are just living in it, Kristian willingly allows this. As the youngest girl among her siblings, she wields a charm that can summon them at the blink of an eye. Despite her youth, she's the glue that holds the family together, always initiating those crucial family Facetime calls. Felicity proudly declares herself as the first child of Kristian and Connor, affectionately referring to them as "Mom" and "Dad".
Doreetha (Reesie) Wheatley

Reesie, the ultimate jack of all trades as a mother, friend, and confidant of the bride. A talented seamstress, designer, author, and entrepreneur, she's not just skilled but also a true inspiration. Reesie has nurtured a can-do attitude within the bride, shaping Kristian into the confident woman she is today. Over the years, she has become one of the couple's most enthusiastic cheerleaders, offering boundless love and invaluable wisdom to both Kristian and Connor.
Jabar Wheatley Sr.
Father of the Bride
Jabar Sr., the father of the bride, a seasoned protector and provider with a knack for Dad jokes that could use a touch-up. For the past decade, he's been rolling out the same three jokes, yet Kristian still chuckles every time. With a heart full of joy, Jabar Sr. has bestowed his blessing upon Connor to marry his not-so-little girl. Despite the playful rivalry/slander that fueled Connor’s competitive edge, Korey remains the steadfast influencer who’s always up for the next adventure.

Cameron is the youngest brother of the Groom, a connoisseur of sports cards, and a nightlife enthusiast. Guided by his mentor and older brother Connor, Cameron has absorbed invaluable life lessons and navigated his path to success. Whether he’s commanding the gaming mic or serving up drinks as a bartender at Buffalo Wild Wings, Cameron embodies the spirit of adventure and achievement.
Jabar Wheatley Jr.
Groomsman
Jabar Jr., affectionately known as Bah, the big little brother of the bride. Despite being the youngest of five siblings, he's wise beyond his years and seems to have life figured out. Perhaps growing up surrounded by four sisters contributed to his maturity—he's the voice of reason in any situation. When he's not at the gym playing basketball, you can find him sitting on top of Kristian and Connor in their 5-square-foot apartment.
Stephanie Steinmetz
Mother of the Groom
Stephanie, the mother of the groom and the queen of the castle, embodies focus and discipline, traits she passed on to Connor. Raised in Southern Indiana, she treasures her roots and prefers the peace of her hometown over the bustling city of Chicago. Stephanie glows with happiness as Connor and Kristian begin their life together.
Michael (Mike) Steinmetz
Father of the Groom
Mike, the father of the groom and a vibes guy. Mike's positivity is like a magnet for good times, whether he's cracking jokes or corralling everyone for a spontaneous brewery tour, near or far. From day one, his unwavering support and contagious joy for Connor and Kristian has been as unmistakable as his knack for finding the perfect punchline.
